2017 Beaumont Hamel Centennial Cup Announced

Today at the Paradise Double Ice Complex Major Kyle Strong of the Royal Newfoundland Regiment unveiled the updated Beaumont Hamel Centennial Cup. On hand for the event were Deputy Mayor Paul Dinn of the town of Paradise, George Dupont President of Paradise Minor Hockey, members of the Paradise Warriors PeeWee B Team, Holy Spirit Falcons Boys Hockey Team and members of the public. The updated cup now stands at 46" with a base diameter of about 14". The lower section has 10 panels representing the 100 years that have passed since the battle for mounting the teams that win each year including the team logo and all members of the team. The second tear has 8 panels representing the over 800 members of the regiment that went over the top on July 1, 1916. At the same event the tournament website (www.beaumonthamelcentennialcup.com), twitter feed (@BHamelCCup) and new logo. Finally the dates for the 2017 tournament were announced to be April 3rd to 9th at the Paradise Double Ice Complex.
